While I was I at work recently I came up with a doodle idea to add to our ongoing blog doodle series. For no particular reason I decided I wanted to draw a Garbage Pail Kid. Hoping to come up with an original character, the name Marty Mucous sprung into my head. However, I didn’t want to draw something that had already been done so I headed over to gpkworld.com and checked their comprehensive gallery of Garbage Pail Kids stickers. Where I found the following:

So unfortunately, my idea was already taken, but my curiosity was piqued. So I decided to see what other disgusting treasures I could find, and I came across this monstrosity.

There is no shortage of puke when it comes to Garbage Pail Kids, but this one actually made me a bit nauseous. “Oh well at least that’s the only card with vomit pouring out of a child’s eyes,” I thought. Well I thought wrong.

I forgot every card had two names for each piece of artwork. I’m not sure why they did this. Perhaps it was done to double the size of each set. I’ve never worked for Topps, so I can only speculate. “Oh well at least that’s the last image of a child regurgitating through his eye sockets,” I thought. What a fool I was.

That picture is the wax wrapper for the 13th series released in 1988. It’s… you know what? I can’t write anything else. I have to go throw up now.
